Assistant Site Manager

Your role at Orbit

With plans to build 6,500 new homes by 2025, Orbit Homes is ones of the country's major housing developers. Our "Your place to thrive" brand, positions Orbit Homes in the market as an aspirational, contemporary and responsible housing developer. We're delivering a truly varied range of homes, from private sale and shared ownership to affordable and social rent properties across the Midlands, the East and South East.

We are recruiting a permanent Assistant Site Manager to manager our new homes development in the East of England.

As one of our Assistant Site Manager's you will be responsible for:

• Supervising all direct labour as may be necessary and co-ordinate the activities of all the trades and disciplines involved on the site
• Ensuring that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to
• In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control the sub-contractors on the site
• Along with Site Manager ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with company procedures as well as the provisions of Health and Safety legislation
• Provide Holiday/Sickness cover.

What will help you make a difference:

• Experience in a construction trades/ junior management role
• Include the supervision of tradesmen and subcontractors, scheduling and calling off material orders, programming the works, snagging the works, and liaising with sales
• The management experience should preferably have been gained on housing developments
• CSCS Card
• First Aid Training
• SMSTS
