Teaching Assistants (SEN Provisions) Are you looking for a new opportunity in January 2023? Are you interested in supporting children with SEN? Are you available for work on a full-time basis? If so, we may have the role for you! Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit for multiple support assistants for the Lancaster/ North Yorkshire area (LA5 and LA6). There are two provisions that are looking for full-time support assistants, these provisions cater for pupils with varying needs including MLD, PMLD, SEMH difficulties and some aspects of Autism, SLCN, Dyslexia and associated learning difficulties. As these schools have a tailored approach/ timetable, the class sizes are between 6-8 pupils maximum, and they cater for a wide range of needs and provide an environment that is matched to pupils profiles e.g. we have nurture classes for more complex pupils. Most of the children exhibit challenging behaviour in some form and individuals with resilience to appropriately support this is essential. As these can be challenging environments to be successful you would ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with challenging individuals however this doesn t necessarily have to be in a school setting and can be from care, residential, youth work, prison service, sports coaching etc! Work within multiple SEN Provisions (LA5 and LA6) Multiple full-time roles available (8.30am-4.00pm/4.30pm) Long-term roles with a view to be taken on permanently Start dates: January 2023 Schools in Lancaster/ North Yorkshire If you do not have school-based experience however have a passion for education and making a positive impact for pupils with SEN, we want to hear from you!
