Love Nursing is an independent provider of bespoke care packages for people with complex health needs. Launched in 2017 in Wirral, Merseyside; we want to improve the lives of vulnerable people whilst making work a better place for nurses and carers.

Our clients include those with brain injuries, spinal injuries and physical disabilities.

We work on behalf of NHS trusts, hospitals and personal injury specialists to deliver round-the-clock care, keeping our clients safe in their own homes and local communities.

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced payroll and invoicing specialist (standalone) to join our friendly, growing team. This is a permanent position, full or part-time (28-35 hours per week) with some flexibility around working times.

You will be responsible for processing a monthly payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with company and statutory regulations, as well as the day-to-day invoicing, credit control, and associated activities. Previous experience of Access Care Planning is preferred, although not essential for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-motivated person who excels working towards tight deadlines. You will have solid payroll experience to run full end to end payroll and the ability to work a stand-alone position. The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge, client-facing skills and be able to hit the ground running.

This is a role which can be carried out between home and our Wirral office, once up to speed with our way of working. When working in the office, our working hours are Monday to Friday .

Key Accountabilities:

Processing a monthly payroll, meeting all agreed deadlines and ensuring employees are accurately paid for holiday, sickness, expenses and statutory pay in compliance with UK legislation
Maintaining accurate payroll information including processing of new starters, leavers and amendments to existing employee records
Pension and benefits submission to third party providers
Processing of relevant HMRC forms including P45, P60 etc and Year-end payroll (P11D's)
Be the first point of contact for all finance/payroll related queries
Ensure the correct returns are made to HMRC
On-going review of existing processes, delivering best practice in all areas
All aspects of Accounts work on Sage; Sales Ledger, Purchase ledger, Nominal Ledger, reconciliations and all journals and reconciliation up to Trial Balance
Producing, checking and sending/uploading sales invoices
Purchase Ledger: processing and payment of purchase invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and investigating queries
Credit control and monitoring cashflow
Maintaining Client/Funder records
Liaise with our external accountants providing them with any information they require in a timely manner
On-going review of existing processes, delivering best practice in all areas

Requirements

What we'd like:

Experience in processing a complex payroll consisting of both salaried and hourly staff with different shift rates
Purchase ledger and Sales Ledger experience
High level of computer literacy with strong MS Excel skills
Strong written, verbal and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail
Someone who is highly organised and methodical
Someone who will maintain the highest level of confidentiality

What we'd love:

Experience of working in a Finance Role within the Care sector
