Job Description

Hydrogen are working with one of the world leaders in their market who are ambitiously expanding to the four corners of the globe. Their top-rated products have won prestigious industry awards for their cutting-edge technology and seamless client experience.

Their marketing team are looking for a number of OSINT Researchers to join their research team or a full time permanent basis. This is a hybrid position so the successful candidate will be working in their London (Holborn) office at least 3 days a week.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting a wide variety of open source and database research;
  • Analysing and assessing the results of that research; and
  • Writing up the findings concisely for dissemination to management and other relevant internal parties.

The research could include:

  • Corporate due diligence;
  • Identifying developments in international regulatory and financial markets;
  • Market intelligence;
  • Identifying and analysing wider political/economic factors in a variety of markets; and a variety of other ad hoc and short-notice tasks to support the work of the Research team and wider business.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with and knowledge of open source online research techniques, alongside a willingness and ability to learn how to use new tools
  • Persistence, tenacity and clarity of thought
  • An investigative mindset, with the enthusiasm to pursue and identify hard to find information on a variety of subjects
  • A clear and concise writing style, with an ability to identify germane issues in new subjects and communicate these clearly and concisely to a senior audience
  • Familiarity with online search and mapping tools such as Videris and i2, and databases such as Factiva and TraceIQ, is an advantage but not essential

Experience

  • Significant proven professional experience of online research is a major plus. In the absence of that, other proven research experience and achievements are also helpful
  • Some experience in the corporate/financial/due diligence research industries or associated professions is also a plus, but they will consider new graduates with significant proven research experience and research achievements
  • An interest in the collation and manipulation of mass data is also a plus, but the key characteristic is passion and enthusiasm for research and finding information
