Application Infrastructure Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to wants to dig deeper in the world of applications and work on a truly global infrastructure and architecture large changes and implementations across the business.

* Aligning strategies with the business application teams

* Supporting appropriate solutions and designs to meet resiliency and stability requirements

* Proactively managing and reducing risk in the infrastructure environment, including stability, resilience, currency, and security risk

* Driving financial consumption optimizations levers to create capacity creation opportunities (increase ROI)

Skills and knowledge required:

* proven experience in Infrastructure/Technical Architecture and/or solutions engineering and design experience.

* Strong understanding of networking and distributed systems (Virtualization, Kubernetes containers, DBMS).

* Highly experienced with messaging Middleware (MQ, Kafka, Solace), transformational Middleware (Abinitio), and application Middleware (Tomcat)

* Experienced with design, delivery, and driving operational best practices in AWS or Azure platforms

* Past investment banking, payments, and trading systems preferred

* Architecture experience within large Financial Services (desirable) or Telco, Healthcare companies

* Experience with building systems factoring in High Availability, Performance, and Capacity scalability for the future

* Experience of a global working environment across multiple business areas, functions, and locations is a plus
