Electrical Maintenance Technician Location: Cumbria Salary: £35000 - £44000 + bonus (up to 10%) Monday to Friday Days - with callout responsibility every 4 weeks Are you looking for a new role that will offer you the challenges and learning opportunities that will shape your career within Engineering? To continue their growth & remarkable market share they are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to join one of their high performing teams. The Role: You will support the site activities required to deliver the site reliability strategy, driving asset performance and conformance to site standards. Support the delivery of all line performance targets Prepare and Lead Planned Maintenance activities including all scheduled Planned Maintenance shuts Assist the engineer with breakdowns and repairs on the designated asset Gather data on asset failures and use to problem solve to root cause. Conduct Process Confirmation to ensure maintenance systems are adhered to Management of CMMS backlog to agreed targets You will use your skills & experience to utilise proactive maintenance tools and techniques to benefit long-term asset reliability. You will also support with specific projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will have the opportunity to promote new ideas & initiatives across the engineering teams and lead by example with best practice maintenance and problem solving. The Person: Recognised Apprenticeship preferably in Electrical Maintenance, ideally with a control s element. Qualifications: HNC minimum in an electrical engineering discipline or equivalent Other experience: PLC s, Control Systems, Variable Speed Drives (sometimes call Variable Frequency Drives), Process Control Knowledge (instrumentation) desirable but not essential. DCS knowledge would also be highly desirable You have proven experience of working within a fast paced, customer focused FMCG company and knowledge of World Class Best Maintenance practices. You are ambitious to succeed, career minded with a focus on delivery and results. You are familiar with working in a culture of continuous improvement where demonstrable results have been achieved by the engineering or maintenance function. You will have a proactive mindset with the ability to motivate yourself to achieve your own and the company objectives
