A bit about the job:
The key responsibility for this role will be to support the Group and AII Chief Actuaries who are responsible for all regulatory and other actuarial activities. You will be supporting the team to own the validation of Aviva's Internal Model review of calibrations through to review of results. You will also be engaging with Finance reporting and play a meaningful role in challenging the setting of as well as calculation of the SCR and technical provisions and manage and improve controls on behalf of the Chief Actuary. Within this position you will be optimising and automating tools and frameworks and undertaking robust analysis resulting in intelligent business proposals.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
A unique opportunity to get involved with Solvency II Actuarial Function Holder responsibilities while covering Internal Model validation
We are looking for a nearly qualified/ qualified actuary ideally specialising in a life background
Important to have knowledge of standard actuarial techniques and Solvency II requirements. Knowledge of IFRS4 and IFRS17 is also desirable
Looking for an enthusiastic individual with good communication skills
You should have a good understanding of how a good control framework supports intelligent business decision-making
