OCI Platform Engineer - Remote - 6 months - SC Eligible
Our client, a market leading multi-national technology company are looking for a OCI Platform Engineer to join them in a remote capacity with the occasional requirement to travel to London. The assignment is initially a 6-month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate in the region of £600.00 - £800.00.
Role Overview:
This is an exciting time as we support large scale client transformation across a wide range of technologies. In this crucial role as OCI Platform Engineer, you'll work with our client's team supporting one of their largest clients globally.
What you will need:
- Expert understanding of end-to-end Infrastructure Architecture on large Oracle Cloud implementations.
- Expert using Front End Cloud admin console, Oracle Management Cloud, dashboards, configuration and automation
- Expert in Monitoring, Logging and Events management within the OCI platform
- Expert in configuring and managing virtual networks, storage, security and administrative access
- Experience of Management of availability, capacity and forecasting future demand
- Client facing with excellent communication and written skills
- Understanding of continuous development and testing with a DevOps life cycle into live
- Experience covering Oracle's OCI products set, Oracle PaaS and aspects of SaaS solutions (eg OIC, SOA, ODI, JCS, Exadata, DBCS)
- Experience of Cloud Financial Management and identify cost savings
- Oversee and be hands on in install of tools or Oracle and non-Oracle software
- Ideally have Oracle certifications
Good to have:
- Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle platforms for SaaS, IaaS and PaaS
- Work on L2 and L3 incidents and report progress
- Update systems with progress on incidents
- Work with third parties to resolve incidents
- Update config management and knowledge management databases
- Support path to live release management and deployment
