Description
As Supply Chain Manager you will:
- Review the material flow through the Liverpool factory and highlight opportunities for efficiencies, meeting with key stakeholders (production / operations) to understand the specific manufacturing processes
- Investigate systems access and capability, transitioning the planning process to a full MRP
- Identify the requirements of the business processes, and build a team to support
- Introduce a basic S&OP process to the Liverpool site, selling the benefits to key stakeholders. This will include educating contributors to the process and building accountability
- Manage the purchasing function to ensure the supply base has visibility on material requirements in advance. This will also support risk management highlighting the need for secondary sources
- Build a dashboard to help colleagues understand how to priorities, and show successes
- Develop robust processes for goods in and outbound materials management to help track inventory (materials, MRO, finished products)
Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Already be a Supply Chain Manager within a complex manufacturing environment. This will include processes with significant variations on builds (eg. bespoke car manufacture where specification changes significantly per car).
- Be able to balance strategic and operational goals, adopting a hands on approach to the operation
- Demonstrate a record of delivery, influencing production and sales teams to create a "1 team culture"
- Recruit and lead a team supporting their development and engagement
- Have a working knowledge of systems, ideally SAP
Job Offer
circa £60,000 + package
