Business Analyst

Andover

You will be working in an office with a friendly atmosphere.

Hours of work - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Do you have strong research and analytical ability?

Do you have excellent attention to detail and methodical approach and a strong ability to solve technical problems and analyse business processes and patterns with excellent attention to detail?

Experience of the UK power and Gas Markets and the business process within it, including EMIR and REMIT is preferred however not mandatory (training would be provided)

Key responsibilities

This opportunity is for a delivery focussed role. The successful candidate will operate as part of a team where their role will include:

  • Understanding the underlying application architecture and capabilities
  • Documenting, interpreting and analysing user requirements and change requests.
  • Supporting the development process with the creation of clearly specified change requests.
  • Analysis and validation of delivered capability to continuously improve the functionality and capabilities.
  • Help enable a companywide understanding of the business processes we are supporting.

Previous experience required

  • Experience with analysing very large complex data sets and

creating forecasting and behaviour models

  • Working in the UK Energy Markets in Energy Trading, Risk

Management, Energy Procurement, Business Analysis or other

relevant roles.

Key Skills required

  • Ability to create Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Specification (FRS), and technical requirement specification for application development.
  • Strong research and analytical ability
  • A strong ability to solve technical problems and analyse business processes and patterns with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work professionally, swiftly and accurately whilst under pressure with a friendly, positive can-do attitude.
  • Self-motivated, pleasant personality. Must enjoy working in a team and individually.
  • Ability to communicate with accuracy and clarity in both verbal and written communications, especially with internal staff at all levels.
  • Holding a relevant Masters or under graduate degree in economics, statistics, operational research or related discipline or relevant work experience
