Job Description
MERJE are working with a fast growing and global hedge fund who are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Formation of credit and/or other funds
• Launch of new credit orientated products - e.g. CLOs
• Formation of new group entities in UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia
• Advising in relation to investor due diligence or other queries
• Advising on fund and asset management in scope regulations, e.g. GDPR, AIFMD and MiFID
• Reviewing/negotiating a range of agreements including commercial contracts, NDAs, DPAs and research agreements
• Providing general legal support for the asset management business
Key Requirements:
• UK qualified solicitor
• Background in Asset Management/Funds
• Good judgment regarding when to elevate issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation and transactional agreement experience
• Strong desire to work collaboratively with the team
• A high standard of professionalism in all dealings with internal staff and any external partners, clients and regulatory agencies
