Salary £46,549 - £50,609 per annum Pro Rata Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week Lancashire Point

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal ICT Engineer/ Designer in our Digital Services, Design and Implement Infrastructure Team.

You will provide a mixture of both technical knowledge and management experience to support, guide and manage a team of engineer/ designers through design and implementation activities. Skills in a number of the following technology areas are expected; Active Directory (AD), ADFS, Always on VPN (AOVPN), Certificate Services, Citrix Infrastructure, Data Insight (Symantec), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Windows Desktop and Server, DHCP, Egress Secure Workspace, Email, Email, Email Filtering, Email Journaling, Email Vault, Endpoint Protection, Identity and Verification (Verismic), Mobile Device Management, Patching Service, PKI, Policy & Personalisation, Printing and Scanning, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Published Applications, RACD, Room Booking (Condeco), Secure File Transfer, Secure Supplier Access, Windows Server & Desktop Management, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Symantec VIP, Vulnerability Management, Web Filtering.

The role

  • Contribute and deliver against strategic initiatives of both the Digital Service and LCC through delivery of small to large scale projects, meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Solution Delivery Manager and the project management community to ensure delivery of agreed solutions and upgrades of existing applications.
  • Drive efficiencies and cost-savings through continuous improvement of people, process and technology.
  • Ensure that customer aspirations & requirements are the driving force behind everything we do.
  • Liaise closely with the architecture team ensuring that strategic initiatives are delivered, and best practice standards are embedded within the design process and across the team.
  • Promote best practice ensuring compliance and governance is adhered to throughout the team.
  • Represent the Digital Service at all levels and attend customer meetings.
