A bit about the role

Working in a team with Vanessa Armstrong our Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis, the Assistant Accountant - Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in supporting the team in achieving accurate and timely budget monitoring and management, to enable the appropriate business decisions to be taken by the business leaders. You will be joining our enthusiastic and experienced team, who are committed to making positive changes in enhancing the financial information available to budget holders to support the business in delivery, and the Agency's mission and objectives.

This is a rare chance to shape the future in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional Finance team you will review data to ensure accuracy, provide advice and guidance to budget holders, undertake financial analysis and have a willingness to challenge processes in order to improve the service offered by Finance to the rest of the Agency.

A bit about you

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a strategic finance team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an experienced finance professional, you'll be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
