Technical Sales Engineer required for a company who are trusted suppliers of welding, brazing and coating technologies in heavy duty and wear intensive industries. This company has transitioned from being a family owned business into a global company while maintaining their industry expertise, people focus and deep rooted belief in sustainability.

This role will specialise in Welding / Thermal Spraying in the Waste to Energy Sector.

OTE Salary package of between £50k - £60k (dependent on experience and made up of basic +commission) + Co Car + other benefits. (Pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays).

Location : Covering Midlands, North West and North East. Home based, with periodic visits to UK Head Office in West Midlands. Ideal location for this role would be West Midlands(Birmingham/Wolverhampton) or Manchester / Leeds / Sheffield although experience is more important than exact location.

This role will specialise in Welding / Thermal Spraying in the Waste to Energy Sector.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer who will be responsible for sales development and technical support in the Waste to Energy sector.

The main focus will be selling our products and services which can provide cost saving solutions to combat wear and corrosion issues in specific boilers.

Skills and Experience

-Ideal candidates will have knowledge of welding and/or Thermal Spraying in the Waste to Energy sector.

- Great understanding of wear mechanisms

-Knowledge or experience in maintenance and repair welding is essential to succeed in this role.

-Previous experience in a Technical Sales / Account Management / Sales Engineer role in a related industry.

General Field Sales / Technical Sales Engineer skills including:

Selling; both relationship building and solution based selling, Field Sales Experience, Business Development, Account Management , Technical Sales.

  • Including Prospecting for new customers.

Product knowledge

Industrial experience

Planning and time management

Mechanical aptitude

Basic computer skills

Knowledge or experience in maintenance and repair welding

High level of integrity and committed to serving clients

Energetic and self-motivated

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
