Tradewind are looking to recruit a KS1 specialist with a background in Read, Write Inc for a Year 1 class. If you are looking for a supportive and rewarding work environment - look no further!

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to recruit a passionate Year 2 teacher with a strong knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum and Read Write Inc phonics to work at a highly reputable school in Stockport. The role will commence September 2022 until the end of the academic year with the possibility of being made permanent (depending on your success in the role). An attractive salary between £130- £185 per day is offered in addition to a highly supportive environment to work and extensive CPD opportunities.

About the Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will have full responsibility of the class and be expected to fully immerse yourself in all aspects of the role. The class is of average size (25-30 pupils) from wide ranging backgrounds - liaising well with parents and valuing them as part of the learning process will be crucial to your success. You will also be joined by a full-time teaching assistant knows the curriculum well and conducts small group sessions.

  • A team player who will share best practice with others and be open minded to adopting new strategies based on advice and success of others
  • A dedicated teacher who will positively contribute to extracurricular activities and attend wider school events in the local community.
