Sports Coach/Behaviour Mentor

Sports Coach - Oxford, Oxfordshire - January 2023 Start - Long-term to permanent basis - £80 to £100 per day depending on experience

Do you have experience in sports or physical education and want to work with Special Needs students? How would you like to work with a school that will offer you training and CPD to progress your career further?

Tradewind are working with an exceptional Alternative Provision in Oxfordshire who are looking to appoint a sports coach/behaviour mentor to join an experienced and growing support team in their school.

You Must:

  • Ideally be experienced working with students aged 5-16
  • Be creative in planning sports activities and running games
  • Offer flexibility and versatility to an already growing support team
  • Have a passion to work with students from all backgrounds and offer them the right support
  • Experience working with SEN students would be advantageous; however, the school provides training and courses at all levels

Sports Coach - Oxford, Oxfordshire - £70 to £90 per day dependant on experience

January 2023 start - Contract to permanent roles for those who progress in the role accordingly

Training and CPD on offer to all staff

About the School - Sports Coach/Behaviour Mentor

This Alternative Provision school that focuses on young students with various special needs are currently recruiting for a sports coach to join their already strong team. The role will require you to work with students on either a 1-1 basis or within small groups, sports and indoor games is the fastest way to grow a relationship with these students who partake in physical activity at school every day. You will be dealing with students that have SEMH, they may have come from difficult backgrounds or struggle with their social surroundings, this role requires someone who is extremely patient, creative, and versatile. The students in the class can be challenging, it will take a few weeks to build a comfortable relationship but once achieved it is highly rewarding to work with this cohort of students. These students react well to calm and dedicated personalities who can help them succeed by finding out the way they learn and then helping them to understand the work accordingly.
