Role: Microbiology Lead

Location: Swindon (flexible hybrid but mainly onsite as the lab is onsite)

Salary: £40000 p.a

Job Type: 6 months contract

Job Overview:

To manage a team of three microbiologists and supervising the team while they do the environmental testing and sampling. Should be able to technical terms and to create reports for validation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Should be able to supervise a group of Microbiology technicians working and testing the samples for environmental testing
• Should be able to train Microbiology Technicians and deputizing them during periods of leave
• Maintaining all written procedures associated with microbiological control within the Quality management system
• Should document all work carried out in the appropriate format
• Should be able to work in a Cleanroom
• Ensure that cleanroom monitoring is performed, and any excursions are investigated thoroughly
• To support any regulatory, notified bodies, customers audit as a Subject Matter Expert in his/her field of responsibilities

Skills:

• Technical writing capability
• Degree level or equivalent qualification that contains the required elements of Microbiology
• A working knowledge of cleanroom operations

Preferred skills:

• Competent user of Microsoft packages
• Root cause analysis understanding
• Regulatory Knowledge of ISO 13485, 11135 & 14644
