Gun Driller

Response Personnel are recruiting for a Gun Driller.

Do you have a passion for precision engineering, an understanding of either the gundrilling process or if not in either horizontal jig boring, toolmaker or manual milling /drilling experience and you can work to tight tolerances? Right now, due to continuous expansion we are actively hiring for a gun driller as are looking to expand our precision engineering team.

As a Gun Driller you will ideally have:

• Experience as a gun driller would be preferred but not essential, either/or manual or CNC
• Experience in either running and setting or horizontal jig borers / Time served Toolmaker experience / Manual milling, drilling machine, would be beneficial as training will be given
• Being familiar with Mollart machinery would be an advantage.
• Being familiar with Mollart &/or Botec tooling would be an advantage.
• Familiar with Fanuc CNC controls would be an advantage.
• It is essential that you have worked within a machine shop environment with an extensive knowledge of the engineering techniques and processes.
• Experienced in using gauging and measurement equipment required for verification including Bore Micrometers (Bowers / Diatest)
• Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running

Package and Benefits:

• Salary depending on experience - £30k-£35k per annum.
• The position is full-time and permanent.
• The hours will be;

Day Shift:

Monday- Thursday - 8.00am - 5.00pm &

Friday - 8.00am - 2.30pm
