Position Overview:
As Warehouse and Yard Operative you will perform physical and administrative task for shipping, stores, order preparation and distribution of parts and equipment within the depot. You will be given full training on FLT and first line maintenance, which will a be stepping stone into your personal progression within the business.

Job Description:

Warehouse and Yard Operative Job Function

Ensure effective operation of the warehouse / workshop and ensure that a safe and effective working environment is available for Finning Power Rental and outside contractors when working on equipmen
Prepare equipment for project needs in accordance with identified specifications from Sales and Engineering.
Provide basic administration support using the prescribed procedures and systems.
Optimize the Depot stock and secure storage for parts
Receive all deliveries and expedite the delivery of equipment including offloading, refuelling, packing, loading of equipment and managing courier schedules.
Maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders, and other related documentation in M3
Order miscellaneous consumables for the warehouse / workshop.
Operate the forklift.
Provide hands-on support for S&M Engineers upon request
Carry out cable & ancillary equipment preparation and general yard/service duties in line with company guidelines and procedures
Monitor certification of ancillaries and provide support in maintaining the certification.
Take receipt of the fleet reporting off-hire details promptly to the Operations desk,
Identify parts and procedures required to complete repairs using M3 timeously.

Warehouse and Yard Operative Physical requirements:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and climb machine ladders
Noise levels low to moderate
Must work outside and be subject to adverse weather conditions
Able to lift 23kg on a regular basis
Able to lift 50kg (max) incidentally
Bending, standing, lifting and ongoing physical activity
