£25,857 to £33,715 per annum - 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday
We have a wonderful opportunity for a Occupational Therapist to join our caring and supportive team at Taplow Manor our Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital in Maidenhead for young people aged 12-18 with a diagnosed mental health condition. Contributing Occupational Therapy skills as appropriate to the assessment, treatment and evaluation of our young people's progress and to make an active contribution to the wider MDT planning and application of programmes to meet individual needs.
You will part of a friendly and enthusiastic Multidisciplinary Team providing a specialist clinical psychology service supporting young people who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties requiring inpatient admission. We have 60 beds across 4 wards with each having its own dedicated Consultant-led Multi-Disciplinary Team: 2 Psychiatric Intensive Care Wards, 1 General Adolescent Ward and 1 Specialist Eating Disorder Ward.

As our Occupational Therapist you will:
Hold a recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist
Current registration with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist
Have experience of working with young people within a mental health inpatient setting
Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), contributing occupational therapy expertise to ensure we deliver outstanding assessment, care planning and support for the young people in our care.
Devise and deliver individual and group occupational therapy programmes.
Provide management and leadership of staff in the MDT delivering Occupational Therapy interventions.
Contribute to the effective running of MDTs by performing key functions, such as liaising with families, CPAs, minute-taking etc.
Assist with the training of care staff and others in the principles of occupational therapy, so that an understanding of occupational therapy underpins the work of the care teams.
Work as part of the hospital's therapy team, sharing information and supporting colleagues
Keep records as required and contribute to the provision of high quality management information across the hospital.
Must be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary
