We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.
Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.
What you'll be working:
FULL TIME - 36 hours per week
Our shifts are 13 shifts over a 4 week rota.
Week 1 - 3 shifts
Week 2 - 3 shifts
Week 3 - 3 shifts
Week 4 - 4 shifts
The hours are 7am to 7:30pm and 7pm to 7:30am.
PART TIME - 23 hours per week
2 shifts a week
Times 7am to 7:30pm and 7pm to 7:30am
What you'll be doing:
As a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker you will:
Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way
Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
Communication any issues to the clinical team
Accurately report and/or record work activities
What you'll have:
A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our young people
Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
