Your role at Orbit.
Newly created role for someone with a strong understanding of how technology can be used to solve some of housing's most difficult problems. We want to use new property technology to transform our service delivery, and to deliver a truly modern service to our customers. Working within the property safety team, you will be initially focusing on research, working across the business to develop an overarching technology strategy, with a plan of action to test and implement new property technology to deal with some challenges the operational teams are facing.
Key to this will involve fostering excellent working relationships across our business, you will be working across the wider Property Operations remit and linking in with teams including Estates, Property Management, IT and Asset Management teams. You will be reviewing and collating data, looking at systems in place and reshaping our property-based technology provision.
This role will drive forward in key areas such as IoT technology, low carbon and BMS system use. You will work to delivery projects efficiently, to be impactful with budget in line with our 2025 vision.
This is an agile based role, so will involve a mix of home, office and site based working with the flexibility to be based anywhere near our portfolio of stock
What will help you make a difference.
• Educated to degree level in a property related subject or relevant professional qualification
• High level experience of new technology strategy and delivery
• High level experience of partnership building
• Experience of managing against business plans and budgets.
• High level of experience in delivering and managing multi disciplinary and commercial contracted programmes
• Essential experience of managing performance standards with the contracting market enabling delivery of the investment programme
• Able to manage, motivate and develop staff in an logical, controlled and timely manner
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
• Willing and able to participate in the out of hours emergency roster
