Summary

The Defence School of Transport in Leconfield is looking for highly capable and motivated instructor to deliver high quality classroom based Dangerous Goods Management Instructor training to military personnel from all three services along with staff from Other Government Departments. We aspire to be the acknowledged Centre of Excellence for driver training in Defence.

Job description

We are recruiting a Dangerous Goods Management Instructor.

You will be responsible to your Line Management chain, and work to the terms of reference of the position being filled.

There is the opportunity to work overtime, to provide training on evenings, nights and weekends should you choose!

We offer you across section transferable training and development opportunities.

We will support you to achieve the Defence Trainer Qualification within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering the following:
  • All courses as required by the Statement of Training Requirement
  • Plan, prepare, research and deliver dangerous goods training
  • Undergo continuous training to develop individual skills/knowledge to remain current and to support the business need

Everyone is responsible for the care and maintenance of training equipment allocated to them and supporting the safety culture on site.

Category C licence held for a minimum of 5 years with no more than 3 current penalty points is essential.

Will require a good level of IT literacy as regular use of MS Office is needed along with bespoke information management systems.

Previous instructional experience is essential.
