Based in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, we are currently recruiting for a HR Officer on a fixed term contract, covering a period of 6-12 months. This key role supports the HR team with a particular focus on supporting Employee Relations cases and the coordination of HR generalist activity to ensure an efficient and customer focused service.
Having a proactive, efficient and organised approach is essential along with previous experience of working in a HR capacity. An interest in working for the wider HR team is also prerequisite as this role also supports the Learning & Development function and Recruitment.
AHDB offers hybrid working two/three days per week from Stoneleigh HQ and the remainder working remotely from home.
Provide professional HR support to the HR Business Partner team for Employee Relations and HR activity, additionally supporting in both Learning & Development activities and Recruitment
Work with Line Managers and the Business Partner team to embed systems, processes and policies, providing consistent operational support
Establish, regularly review and maintain clear workflows for activities to maintain customer service in a joined-up way, working to automate for greater efficiency where possible
Support the Business Partner team with Employee Relations cases and work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure reporting systems are maintained against issues against KPIs
Co-ordinate the updating of HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and organisational need
Work with the wider HR team to process starters, employee changes, leavers and other relevant administration support, including recruitment
Deal with HR queries arriving into the HR department via the generic HR email account
Maintain accurate records for employees within the supporting functions
Report on and analyse key HR metrics, including Defra Reporting
Relevant degree, HR qualification or with relevant HR experience
Good understanding of HR processes
Experience of working within a HR Business Partner team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good project management and organisational skills
Ability to work with a heavy and varied workload
Excellent team player
