We're looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. The Business Intelligence team supports the RNLI's ambitions to develop a vibrant data culture where evidence is at the heart of the decision-making process.

Your Role

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be tasked with the following:
  • Develop BI solutions using the Microsoft BI stack in line with best practice for a wide range of business areas primarily from our AX ERP system.
  • Engage with business SME's to understand and deliver high quality products.

About You

To be considered as the Business Intelligence Developer you will need:
  • To be a self-starter, curious and independent team player, able to effectively prioritise activities & requests.
  • To have strong demonstrable people engagement skills and experience working closely with business representatives to understand and deliver their requirements.
  • Technical expertise regarding visualization, storytelling, and data modelling.
  • Technical understanding of multi-dimensional or tabular models
  • Strong UI and UX competencies and enthusiastic about best practice data visualisation.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft BI stack including Power BI, SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS.
  • Experienced in the use of source control and task management tools.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • An appreciation of Continuous Improvement methodologies and principles.
  • Appreciation of 'doing the right thing'.
