About Which?

Which? is the UK's consumer champion, here to make life simpler, fairer and safer for everyone. As an organisation we're not for profit and all for making consumers more powerful.

As people we're brave, caring, rigorous and insightful in the way we connect with each other to make change happen.

About our Group Legal and Governance division

In Group Legal and Governance, we use our expertise to help the organisation make decisions that are right for Which? and consumers. In Corporate Governance we promote effective and efficient governance, providing corporate and secretarial support for our parent charity's Council of Trustees, its commercial subsidiary's Board and their committees.

About the role

In this role you will provide high-quality and user-friendly advice and support to enable Trustees, directors and the group's executive leadership team to make good decisions. You will also contribute to ongoing work to simplify and modernise governance and increase confidence in its effectiveness and efficiency. You will manage the team's coordinator.

About you

You'll be a qualified company secretary with a strong understanding of the Corporate Governance function and ideally with an understanding of both charity and non-charity corporate governance requirements.

You will be a self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and be organised and forward-looking. You will be an excellent communicator, who can develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders. You will also have the skills to manage and develop a colleague or small team and be able to work collaboratively in small and large teams and on your own. You'll relish the opportunity to utilise your skills to keep abreast of changes in relevant legislation and governance practices and help the organisation to respond.

About the rewards

In addition to a competitive salary we offer a generous 28 days holiday, life assurance and a fantastic pension scheme where we contribute 11% after just one year of service. Working hybridly out of our London office, you'll find it modern, relaxed and friendly, with great facilities for cyclists and lunchtime runners, and a roof terrace to enjoy your lunch on.

About the Which? way of life

We want you to do great work and enjoy it in a workplace that respects and empowers you. We've signed up to the Time to Change employer pledge that protects staff against mental health discrimination. We're also a Stonewall accredited employer.
