Job Description

Ambitious about Autism is currently recruiting a Philanthropy Officer to join our Award-winning Fundraising Team. The Philanthropy Team is highly regarded, consistently bringing in over half of our organisation's total voluntary income.

As the Philanthropy Officer, you will manage supporter relationships (generally individuals giving £1,000+, ranging from legacy donors, major donors and family foundations) and will focus on creating and developing new relationships. You will be collaborating with peers, and our service delivery teams to provide the best supporter experience. With the programme being in its early days, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a meaningful part in the successful delivery of our major donor and legacy strategy, fundraising areas which are set to grow in the next five years.

With the opportunity to work within the founding school, you will see first-hand how your role impacts the young people we work with. You will also have the opportunity to showcase work we do directly with our funders.

We are looking for an individual who has:

Experience in relationship-building with senior stakeholders or people of wealth/influence, or experience of fundraising from individuals or Trusts
Success in initiating contact and furthering relationships with supporters, or clients in account management securing income/new business, or fundraising experience
Experience in personal face-to-face interactions and confidence in dealing with people at all levels

In return, we offer great benefits including a generous holiday allowance commitment to your continued professional development (CPD) hybrid and flexible working.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who would like to work for a forward-thinking, open and honest organisation and make a real impact to the lives of autistic children and young people. Please find our full recruitment pack on the link below.
