Job Description

Are you currently completing a Teaching degree in primary Education? Will you have a qualified Teacher Status? Are you currently an NQT? And are you looking for work or even to start in September 2022?

If so please see below...

I am currently working with a selection of Schools across Plymouth & Cornwall that are looking to recruit Newly Qualified Teachers in the new academic year.

At Randstad we appreciate the uncertainty of the current situation, but we are continuing to recruit on behalf of our schools during this period and preparing for the following academic year. This will contribute to a smooth transition and ensure School's are correctly staffed from September.

Roles will vary from ad- hoc day to day cover, to long term positions depending on the School's need. A successful candidate will need to be able to start as soon as possible, when School's return from the summer holiday.

For the right candidate, you may find the opportunity to secure long term work. We can look into support for your induction year and PPA time will be allocated by the school, should the School be happy to support you.

In terms of a working day, if you are covering for a Teacher's absence you will be required to work to a set plan and ensure the attainment of each child in their class teacher's absence. The work and planning will usually be set in advance and available for you to deliver on the day, you will be responsible for ensuring all children are participating in the class and motivated to learn. You will be required to complete the marking in full at the end of each day before returning the work to the reception.

It is important to highlight that cover work can also lead to consistent and long term job opportunities at School's. For the right candidate this will be an opportunity to showcase your ability which can often lead to schools requesting you personally for cover or considering you for their long term cover/ vacancies.

Benefits include:
