The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior or Principal Procurement Consultant (depending on experience) to support the delivery of projects within the sustainability team, working within our existing team, developing our capabilities, and contributing towards the growth of the business. Our sustainability team works to create practical and scalable solutions that directly support organisations in moving towards a more sustainable future.

You will advise clients on how to embed sustainable practices and increase the procurement of low carbon products. You will work within a team that wins and delivers a wide range of procurement and supply chain projects including strategy development, opportunity assessment, supplier engagement, tender document development, and supplier evaluation and selection.

You will also undertake business development activities which will include bidding and client relationship management. You will have experience of bidding in a consultancy environment. You will have a strong commercial awareness and energy and enthusiasm to support the growth of our procurement services.

Key competencies and experience
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• At least five years of demonstrable experience of delivering procurement support.
• Knowledge of corporate procurement processes and how to reflect sustainable objectives in contracts.

• Strong track record in client relationship management with an ability to manage technical projects and deliver client outcomes.
• Effective and proactive team member, capable of supporting the development of peers and junior staff members.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Experience of bid writing in a consultancy environment or similar.
• Excellent understanding of the UK procurement policy landscape.
