Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager looking for a new opportunity?

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a critical member of the Group Transformation Office, responsible for the successful delivery of our 5-year plan. You will be a valued member of the team, leading on high quality projects and deliverables across a range of innovative award-winning technologies, business areas and third parties.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year depending on experience + an excellent benefits package

Location: Must be able to travel to our Tunbridge Wells office a couple of times a week


Your duties will include:

  • Define the projects governance structure, proactively monitor progress, resolve issues and manage risks and report at regular intervals
  • Develop and manage to an effective stakeholder engagement plan and ensure business leads and subject matter experts are mobilised for success
  • Plan and design the project to deliver the project goals with clarity on the decomposition of work-streams
  • Develop business cases and manage the project budget with a focus on delivering value for money. Monitor costs against budget, provide accurate forecasts and track enablement of benefits
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects and work-streams are to expected quality, time and budget in line with the overall plan and adherence to the agreed governance framework
  • Assess the operational impacts of projects - e.g. training and resource requirements. Work with the Business and Group IT to transition to business as usual
  • Create and analyse relevant information and develop recommendations for presentation to Programme Managers and Senior Management.
  • Monitor and report on progress of projects to all stakeholders, provide timely reporting of issues that impact projects progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts.
  • Work with procurement and Group IT to ensure the third party contributions to the projects provide value for money


Essential Skills & experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management with a strong track record in delivering to cost, time and quality, ensuring flawless execution and full extraction of benefits
  • Project Manager (Agile/Prince) qualification essential
  • Financial and Insurance Services experience with business knowledge essential
  • Financial literacy (budgeting, reporting, interpretation) and managed budgets
  • Proven ability to lead, engage, and influence up to and including board level
