LivePerson is currently seeking a creative and talented professional to join our team as a DevOps Engineer as part of our Platform Engineering Group. While most of the team members are based in Mannheim, Germany, we're "work from anywhere" friendly and have multiple team members working from remote locations. The successful candidate has an opportunity to work as part of the global product and technology unit and help to build state-of-the-art services that are used by our largest customers.

Over the next three years, our goal is to transform the 268 billion analogue phone calls between a brand, and it's consumers to digital on the LiveEngage platform. By doing this, we enable consumers to get back time and experience a more connected relationship with the brand in which sales, service, marketing, branches, stores, and contact centre's become a unified experience.

In this role you will:

Design, creation, and maintenance of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline based on modern frameworks such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions etc.

Ensure the operation and maintenance of the applications, considering additional aspects such as monitoring, alerting, logging and security.

Enable Cloud utilization and help teams to move from self-hosted services to managed cloud solutions, such as self-hosted Kubernetes to GKE (GCP).

Use Terraform to build the cloud platform using infrastructure into code

Perform (occasionally) software development tasks within e2e responsibility

Write technical documentation and system integration diagrams for upstream reporting.

What you need for success:

BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience

5+ years of DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure experience

Exceptional scripting and automation skills

Strong experience working with GCP.

Experience with large-scale distributed microservices' architecture.

Hands-on with CI, configuration management and containerization solutions.

Would be a plus:

Software development experience in our target technologies (Java, Node.JS, TypeScript).

Experience in working with RESTful APIs; GraphQL and gRPC

Experience in 'migration to cloud' projects

Ability to work on different teams and contexts easily.

Familiarity with definition SLOs, and SLIs to measure outcomes
