WHAT IS RECRUITMENT?

Recruitment is a sales job.

Ultimately, you are selling to clients and candidates; discovering the strengths and skills in one candidate and putting them in the right company/department.

Recruitment is a commission-based role; you will get a basic salary of around £22,000 and have the potential to earn unlimited commission on top of that. First year OTE's are generally around £35k+.

In your second year and beyond this is entirely in your hands, you'll have built up a network, you'll know your chosen market and you'll be confident on the recruitment lifecycle/processes. Because of all these factors, the opportunity to earn £60k+ from year 2 onwards is very realistic.

The skills needed for recruitment include; listening and understanding, communication, relationship building and the will-to-win attitude.

You will be working long hours (making yourself available around your clients and candidates) and will therefore need to be quite resilient and very self-motivated.

The ideal Trainee Recruitment Consultant will have the following:

• University Degree 2:1 or 1st
• Sales Experience (desirable)
• Competitive drive
• Resilient nature
• Positive character
