Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vendor, Supplier or Procurement Manager with domain experience with software payment and associated vendors to work within the commercial team in the Technology Division for a major UK Bank undergoing considerable change. This role is a centred on bringing commercial control in the delivery of a number of payment system programmes. Up to £76k basic plus bonus, flex cash benefits and generous pension scheme. Remote working with one/two days a week in Central London (City).

This role will be responsible for helping the programmes be successful through the Delivery phase following the various contract awards of critical services and support Commercial SME's across the organisation. The role will focus on Payments and Integration Vendor Management activities.

Key Responsibilities for the Payments Vendor Manager include:
* Monitor the performance of the vendor against contractual agreements intervening ensuring a joined up approach across Technology in terms of performance, delivery and compliance. (40%)
* Strategic Vendor Management and Commercial Planning to ensure the Vendor Management Tower is setting commercial plans and strategies in order to improve value across the contractual landscape. (30%
* Provide Contract and commercial advice and services to strategic programmes associated with vendor management. (20%)
* Acting as custodian of the strategic relationship with third party by ensuring strong governance and working with key SME's to ensure compliance against relevant internal standards and policies. (10%)

Key skills required:

* Experienced IT professional with a significant experience in dealing with vendors, markets in which they operate within a multisource environment, with deep and significant experience with Payments and Integration vendors/contractual constructs.
* Significant experience with Software licensing, hardware and complex services contracts within the context of Payment technologies.
* Own extensive relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.

Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge and understanding of Transactional Processes within a Financial Institution.
* Experience of business case creation, management and delivery which demonstrates new ways of thinking.
* Ability to convey complex or technical information at the right level so that it is understood.

In return, this role offers a base salary of up to £76,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits including:
* A non-contributory, guaranteed retirement with the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through a flexible benefits programme
