Meraki Talent's General Insurance client is actively looking for a Claims Handler or Senior Claims Handler to work within their expanding team. The Claims Handler will focus on a case load of Property Claims on a cradle to grave basis for the firm's commercial clients. This role would suit an experienced Claims professional with exposure to property and/or commercial claims.

Responsibilities of the Property Claims Handler

• Handle a caseload of Commercial Property and wider Commercial claims up to the value or £100,000, plus higher values with referral.
• Assess liability, validity and quantum of the claim to achieve the desired resolution for all parties involved.
• Investigate claims and complete reviews with policyholders, brokers and underwriters.
• Successfully negotiate settlement of claims with Insurers, Loss Adjusters and other third-parties to achieve company KPIs.
• Act as a senior member of the team, assisting with complex cases and giving technical guidance through the Claim process.

Background of the Property Claims Handler

• Successful candidates must have experience handling a caseload of property claims from intimation to settlement in addition to commercial property claims exposure.
• Experienced in handling mid-value claims on an end to end basis over the value of £40,000.
