Bank Support Assistant
Norton Road, Stockton-on-Tees
£10.00
Hours as and when required - shifts will include 8am - 5.30pm, 10.30am - 8pm, 12.30pm - 10pm and 10pm to 8am
Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as "relief roles" in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren't guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Bank Support Assistant to join our team. Norton Road comprises two buildings: one with six two-bedroom flats, and one with five one-bedroom flats, 7 studio flats and a crash pad. We provide supported housing for young people and adults aged 16 and over, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The role of Bank Support Assistant will include:
Providing a high quality, hands on, personalised care and support service
Supporting residents to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
Encouraging residents to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and being an active part of the community
Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents
Maintaining a safe environment for residents, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
Skills and experiences:
Experience of working with vulnerable people is desirable, as is an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in care
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be assertive will be key to your success
You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with a positive, 'can-do' attitude
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills
Ability to prioritise and organise workload
