Join our friendly multi-disciplinary team and support children's environmental and equipment needs

We are looking for a highly motivated Children's Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, positive and supportive Children and Families Occupational Therapy Service . Working alongside Social Worker colleagues across the county, you'll hold a caseload of children who experience varying degrees of physical and/or learning disabilities and autism.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to have regular supervision with a clinician, as well as further in house and external training and Continual Professional Development.

Professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC, you'll have sound experience of working within paediatric and/or adults social care, community or hospital-based services. Known for your expertise, you'll work sensitively alongside the family to meet the child's home environmental and equipment needs.

You'll demonstrate your ability to make sound judgments based on assessment, evaluation of evidence and information. You will also possess the ability and flexibility to translate such judgments into effective and realistic action. Working together with other agencies you will also ensure safe and appropriate adaptations within families' homes, carry out necessary manual handling and other relevant risk assessments.

Primarily based either in Basingstoke or Alton, to cover the North Hampshire area, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly and travel as part of your role, with occasional work from home or at drop ins where applicable. It is therefore essential you are able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
