People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Parts Sales Assistant to join our well-established client based in Location .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £12.71 per hour plus commission, Monday-to-Friday working hours, no weekend working and the opportunity to develop your skills within an established automotive business.

The role involves assisting customers with vehicle parts enquiries, identifying and sourcing components, processing sales and creating online listings for resale.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Vehicle Parts Sales Assistant, Car Parts Advisor, Parts Sales Advisor, Automotive Parts Advisor, Motor Factors Sales Assistant or Vehicle Parts Specialist.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Vehicle Parts Sales Assistant, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Customer Service and Sales

• Assisting customers face-to-face in the shop, providing professional advice
• Handling customer enquiries via telephone and email
• Responding to enquiries through eBay, Facebook, the company website and Find-a-Part platforms
• Identifying customer requirements and matching vehicle parts to their needs
• Processing sales and providing excellent customer service

Parts Identification and Stock Management

• Identifying a wide range of vehicle parts and components
• Locating and retrieving parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders
• Ensuring vehicle parts are handled carefully and accurately
• Assisting with stock organisation and general warehouse duties

Online Sales and Listings

• Creating and managing vehicle parts listings on eBay
• Producing accurate product descriptions and vehicle compatibility information
• Responding to online customer enquiries
• Supporting the processing of online orders and sales

General Duties

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support daily operations
• Maintaining an organised and safe working environment
• Assisting with additional duties as required

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Vehicle Parts Sales Assistant, you will need:

• Good general knowledge of motor vehicles and how they operate
• Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and components, with the ability to identify parts accurately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good IT skills and confidence using online selling platforms, particularly eBay
• Ability to provide professional and helpful customer service
• Physical capability to retrieve and handle reasonably heavy vehicle parts safely
• Ability to work at height and use ladders safely, following appropriate training and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual approach to work

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in automotive parts sales or the motor trade
• Experience working within vehicle dismantling or vehicle recycling
• Previous experience identifying and sourcing vehicle parts
• Experience handling customer enquiries and processing sales
• Familiarity with online selling platforms, particularly eBay
• Experience creating online product listings
• Previous warehouse or stock management experience

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
