Our client is a well-established and reputable independent accountancy practice near Chelmsford. They've built an excellent reputation for providing a personal service to a loyal client base, whilst creating a well established team and friendly environment.

They're looking to recruit a Semi Senior (or Senior) Accountant who enjoys the core fundamentals of practice work and wants to continue developing their experience without the pressure or expectation of climbing the management ladder.

The Role

As part of a friendly and experienced team, you'll be involved in:

• Preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of businesses including small Ltd. companies, sole traders owner managed businesses and larger corporate entities.
• Completing VAT returns
• Preparing personal tax returns
• Assisting with corporate tax computations (CT600)
• Liaising directly with clients and answering day-to-day queries
• Supporting Managers with a broad range of accounting assignments

About You

You'll have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment at Semi Senior or Senior level and be confident undertaking accounts and tax-related work, looking for either full time or part-time hours.

More importantly, you'll be someone who:

• Enjoys the technical aspects of accounts
• Likes building relationships with clients
• Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
• Prefers a collaborative, supportive working environment
• Values stability, work-life balance and being part of a close-knit team
