If you're an experienced Duty Manager or Deputy Manager ready for your next challenge, this is your opportunity to help shape a venue where guests love spending time and colleagues feel proud to work.

About Us

Mr Mulligans Stevenage is part of Adventure Leisure, where our purpose is simple: to create space to play and be together.

With brands including Mulligans and Bunkers, Adventure Leisure brings people together through experiences spanning crazy golf, electro darts, shuffleboard and pool. We're growing fast, with bold plans and a commitment to making our venues welcoming, inclusive and accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

Our values guide how we work: Fun, Ambition, Collaboration and Trust. That means bringing positive energy, trying new ideas, supporting each other and taking responsibility for getting things right.

About the Role

Working closely with our Dual-Site General Manager, you'll help lead Mr Mulligans Stevenage across guest experience, team development and commercial performance.

You'll be visible on the floor, ready to support your colleagues and confident making decisions. Whether you're coaching a supervisor, improving service or turning performance figures into practical action, you'll help the team deliver a great experience every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the team: Recruit, welcome, train and coach colleagues, giving Duty Managers and Supervisors the support and direction they need to succeed.
  • Creating memorable guest experiences: Keep service standards high, respond to feedback and resolve concerns with care.
  • Growing revenue: Make the most of bookings and venue capacity, maintain accurate pricing and champion relevant upselling across activities, food, drink and retail.
  • Bringing promotions to life: Deliver and track offers, encourage repeat visits and support campaigns that connect with our audiences and local community.
  • Managing performance and costs: Review results, contribute to budgets and reporting, and plan staffing around demand.
  • Overseeing food, drink and retail: Maintain service and presentation standards, manage purchasing and stock costs, and ensure food hygiene requirements are met.
  • Keeping the venue ready for play: Oversee daily checks, coordinate maintenance and contractors, and ensure health and safety issues are recorded and addressed.

Throughout it all, you'll lead by example and create an environment where people feel included, valued and motivated to do their best.

About You

You know how to bring out the best in people while keeping a busy operation on track. You're approachable, organised and commercially aware, with the confidence to solve problems and the attention to detail to follow things through.

You'll bring:

  • At least two years' experience as a Duty Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • Operational site management experience.
  • Strong leadership, delegation and people management skills.
  • Clear communication and a practical approach to coaching and development.
  • The ability to prioritise, manage change and make sound decisions.
  • A positive attitude and the drive to improve results and guest experiences.
  • A good GCSE standard of education.
  • A driving licence.

P&L experience and a background in sales and marketing would be an advantage. A Personal Licence and First Aid at Work certification are preferred.

Why Join Us?
