Semi Senior Accountant

• Full time equivalent £32-£40k
• Part time- 3 days per week or 9.30am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday
• North Liverpool, Free car parking

We're working with a growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice with an experienced team and plans to continue expanding its services to small and medium-sized businesses.

They are looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to prepare year-end accounts for a portfolio of SME clients. There will also be the opportunity to support the team with other accountancy duties, including VAT returns and accounts preparation.

The practice is open to different levels of qualification and experience. You could be ACA or ACCA qualified, AAT qualified, qualified by experience, or have stopped studying.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing full year-end accounts for SME clients
• Working with a varied portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Supporting with VAT returns and accounts preparation
• Helping with other duties across the accountancy team as needed
• Building good working relationships with clients and colleagues

What we're looking for

• Experience preparing accounts within an accountancy practice
• The ability to work with a range of SME clients
• A practical, hands-on approach and good attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues
• ACA, ACCA, AAT, QBE or a stopped-studier background will all be considered
• Experience with Xero would be useful, but isn't essential
