A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Coventry is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Business Services Manager to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and lead a talented team.

Coventry has a diverse and growing commercial community, and the firm is well positioned within it, with a well established local reputation and a client base offering breadth across sectors and business sizes. What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a varied portfolio, overseeing accounts and business advisory delivery
• Reviewing work prepared by junior and semi senior staff for quality and accuracy
• Acting as a trusted point of contact and building long term client relationships
• Supporting partners on complex assignments and strategic client planning
• Leading, mentoring and developing members of the business services team
• Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities to grow the client base

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong business services background gained in practice
• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team in a practice setting
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax and financial reporting
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, commercially astute and proactive
