We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK accountancy and advisory firm, currently hiring an Accounts & Business Services Senior to join their Canary Wharf team following a recent acquisition.

What The Job Actually Involves
- Preparing and reviewing client accounts, taxation and financial requirements in line with budget timelines and accounting standards
- Managing monthly and quarterly management reporting across a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses
- Handling company and personal tax compliance, including day-to-day HMRC correspondence
- Supporting clients through software implementation, training and Making Tax Digital requirements
- Getting involved in ad hoc advisory projects that go beyond standard compliance work
- Building strong, trusted relationships with clients at different stages of their business journey
- Offering guidance to junior colleagues and supporting their development
What You'll Need
- Around 3-4 years' experience in accounts and business services, with a solid understanding of accounts processes and industry standards
- Confident, professional communication skills, with clients and colleagues alike
- The ability to work independently, escalating only genuinely complex issues
- A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of the wider context behind client decisions
