Systems Accountant - 15 Month FTC

We are working with an established organisation that is looking to appoint a Systems Accountant to support a major finance systems implementation and post-go-live programme.

The business is moving from its existing finance platform onto Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and is now entering a critical phase of data migration, reconciliation, process improvement and system optimisation. This is a hands-on role and would suit somebody who enjoys working at the point where finance, systems and data come together.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Extracting, cleansing, rationalising and manipulating data from the existing finance system.
• Reconciling balances between legacy and new systems as part of the migration process.
• Mapping existing finance processes and identifying opportunities to improve and streamline them.
• Supporting the design and configuration of ledgers, chart of accounts and reporting structures.
• Assisting with user acceptance testing and identifying gaps or issues prior to full adoption.
• Supporting the development of finance reports and mapping data into existing Excel-based reporting.
• Working closely with the finance team and external implementation consultants.
• Providing training and post-implementation support to users across the business.
• Identifying further opportunities to automate processes and improve the use of the new system.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on a finance system or ERP implementation and will have been involved in areas such as data migration, process mapping, reconciliation, testing and reporting. Previous Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong experience implementing other ERP or finance systems will also be considered.
