Finance Manager
Bridgwater £55,000 - £65,000 DOE Full Time Permanent
Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a long-established and growing business seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support the next stage of the company's growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working within an SME environment and wants to play a key role in supporting business performance and decision-making.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing valuable insight to support strategic business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Cash flow forecasting and treasury management
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Production of monthly financial reports and analysis
- VAT returns and statutory compliance
- Credit control oversight and debtor management
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Providing financial insight and recommendations to senior management
- Continuous improvement of financial controls and processes
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates who possess:
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Company Accountant or similar
- Strong management accounting skills
- Experience within an SME environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
