PROJECT COORDINATOR - IT PROJECTS
KEY POINTS
ABOUT THE CLIENT
We're supporting an established IT solutions provider delivering a wide range of technology projects across the education and commercial sectors.
Due to continued demand and growth within their Project Services function, they're looking for an organised and ambitious Project Coordinator to join the team in Fareham.
This isn't a role where they want somebody to remain a Project Coordinator indefinitely. They're keen to find someone who can take ownership, develop their technical and commercial understanding and progress into a more senior, Project Management-focused position as their experience grows.
If you're already coordinating projects and feel ready for an opportunity that can genuinely develop into something bigger, this could be a great next step.
THE BENEFITS
THE PROJECT COORDINATOR ROLE:
As a Project Coordinator, you'll initially be responsible for coordinating multiple technology projects from inception through to completion, making sure everything continues to move in the right direction.
You'll become a key point of communication between clients, engineers, internal teams and third-party suppliers, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring projects progress in line with agreed plans and timescales.
Day to day, you'll arrange and schedule technical resources, maintain project documentation and systems, support the onboarding of new clients and produce management reports covering project delivery KPIs.
You'll be working across projects involving servers, storage, networking, wireless and security, giving you broad exposure to different technologies, customers and project environments.
Importantly, there is plenty of scope to grow.
As you build your experience, they want you taking on greater ownership and responsibility, developing from coordination and project support into a more senior position focused on managing and delivering projects yourself.
PROJECT COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Previous experience within the IT sector would be advantageous but isn't essential.
The bigger priority is finding someone with solid project coordination experience, strong communication skills and the ambition to progress. If you've built a good foundation in project support or coordination and now want an organisation that can develop you towards Project Management, we'd be particularly interested in speaking with you.
Due to the organisation's work within the education sector, the successful candidate will also be subject to Right to Work and enhanced DBS checks.
