About the company

A well-established, family-owned financial and estate planning practice based in modern offices in Whiteley. Built on a client-first philosophy and values of trust and high quality, the firm advises private clients across complex investment, retirement, inheritance tax, and estate planning matters.

Role Summary

This position offers the chance to become the firm's first dedicated in-house paraplanner as the practice internalises its technical operations. Working alongside three experienced financial advisers and supported by dedicated client relationship managers, you will shape reporting standards and enjoy complete autonomy over your technical output. The firm provides clear long-term pathways into compliance management and director-level roles, or advice, whilst equally supporting those who want to build a long-term career as a specialist technical paraplanner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct whole-of-market research and product comparisons across investments, pensions, IHT, and estate planning, giving you deep technical exposure to varied and complex client scenarios.
  • Produce comprehensive, tailored suitability reports and detailed calculations with dedicated administrative support, allowing you to focus your time purely on high-level analytical work.
  • Evaluate fact finds and liaise directly with the advising team to review cases, giving you strong professional influence over advice structuring and recommendations.
  • Help establish the in-house paraplanning framework and mentor a qualifying colleague, developing your leadership capabilities and opening genuine pathways into compliance management or adviser positions.

Requirements:

  • Hold the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent), with Chartered status or study towards it well supported.
  • Substantial paraplanning background covering private client pensions, investments, inheritance tax, and estate planning solutions.
  • Proven ability to analyse technical information, construct clear suitability reports, and explain complex concepts straightforwardly.
  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to discuss case strategies constructively with advisers and support the development of colleagues.

If this role isn't quite right, it's still worth speaking to one of our specialist team, as we may be working on something that hasn't hit the market yet.
