Job Description

We are an office-first business with an emphasis on collaboration, communication and knowledge sharing. In this role, you will be working for a UK-based IT professional services and product development company, developing and benchmarking your skills and progression using the SFIA+ framework. Our company provides professional services to customers to maintain, develop and, in some cases, manage existing national or enterprise systems on which citizens depend. This involves exposure to a wide range of technologies and methodologies.

The key to our staff becoming professionals is our ability to provide extensive training! We rotate our developers between projects to gain a broad set of technical, management and leadership skills that provide a broad base for their future careers.

We are looking to grow our systems administration team; ideally, you will be a new graduate, entry-level, or have approx. 1 year of experience in IT support.

Duties and responsibilities

• Address service requests from staff members to ensure seamless operations.

• Troubleshoot laptop and hardware issues.

• Resolve network connectivity problems.

• Manage service sign-ups and account provisioning.

• Ensure systems remain compliant with relevant audit frameworks.

• Identify and implement improvements across systems.

• Enhance technology solutions for efficiency and reliability.

• Identify potential system upgrades.

• Present proposals for system improvements to the team.

• Plan and execute implementation of system upgrades.

• Administer our various IT solutions, including user onboarding, offboarding and

access management.

• Configure and troubleshoot systems across the company.

Experience and qualifications•

• Experience and Interest in IT support or cybersecurity.

• Willing and able to undergo the required security vetting process.

• An appetite to progressively take responsibility for specific items of work, for

management initiatives or for training others as you have been trained.

• Able to show your critical thinking ability when problem-solving or planning.

• Ambition to broaden and deepen your capabilities across all disciplines.

• A history of academic excellence.

• Good communication skills and the ambition to develop them.

• Flexible, able to handle change and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
