We are looking for an experienced and compassionate leader to join our Mental Health Services as a Peripatetic Service Coordinator, supporting teams across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
What does "Peripatetic" mean for this role?
In this position, "peripatetic" means you will provide cover across our different regional sites, rather than being based permanently at a single location. However, you will not be traveling to a different site every day. You will typically be assigned to one specific project or location for extended periods-often weeks or months at a time-to provide stable, ongoing support where it is needed most.
An exciting pathway to permanence:
Because you will become embedded within the teams you support, this role offers a genuine opportunity to move into a permanent Service Coordinator position should a suitable vacancy arise and align with your skills, experience and success in the role.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with complex mental health needs while leading and developing high-performing teams.
As a Service Coordinator, you will lead teams to deliver person-centred support that enables people to achieve their goals, build independence, and gain the skills and confidence to live fulfilling lives in their communities. You will support individuals to build resilience, develop practical life skills, strengthen community connections, and take greater control of their future.
You will be an inspiring and supportive leader with excellent communication and listening skills, able to motivate, develop, and empower colleagues to deliver outstanding support. A strong understanding of person-centred practice and a commitment to promoting positive mental health, wellbeing, and recovery-focused support are essential.
You will ensure services are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational standards, while demonstrating positive outcomes for the people we support.
Travel & Vehicle Requirements
You must have access to your own reliable vehicle for business use. We fully understand that travel is a key part of this role, which is why all business mileage is reimbursed at our standard company rate.
