The Role
As a Data Analyst, you will sit within a small finance team and work closely with senior stakeholders to manage reporting, analysis, and data processes across the business.
You will:
Own and develop finance reporting and management information
Support forecasting cycles and maintain large-scale financial models covering forecasts, planning, and cash flow
Reconcile data across multiple systems, including Xero, SQL, and Power BI
Upload, manage, and maintain finance and operational datasets
Produce board-level reporting on financial performance, operational metrics, and contract activity
Analyse volumes, performance trends, and operational data against forecasts and expectations
Build new reports and dashboards while enhancing existing reporting processes
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Partner with finance, technology, and operational stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities and decision-making
Your Skills & Experience
You will have:
Strong experience in a finance, accounting, or financial analysis role
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and reporting
Practical experience using SQL and Power BI for reporting and data analysis
Experience working with large, complex datasets and performing reconciliations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
The ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A proactive and organised approach, with the confidence to take ownership of processes and improvements
