HGV TECHNICIAN - DAY SHIFT
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 45 hours per week
Standard Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Overtime: Paid at time and a half

Flexible Start & Finish Times

The standard shift is 6:00am-2:30pm, but there is flexibility around start and finish times.

If you require different working hours within the 6:00am-6:00pm window, this can be discussed during the interview. The business is open to agreeing a suitable start and finish time for the right candidate.

An established commercial vehicle dealership is looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join its professional workshop team in Peterborough.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled Technician looking for a stable Monday-Friday role, enhanced overtime rates, flexible working hours, HGV licence training and genuine long-term career progression.

The Role
You'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of HGVs, commercial vehicles and trailers.
Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Complete defect repairs on HGVs and trailers
Use manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist equipment
Complete job cards, service sheets and online records
Follow manufacturer procedures and warranty requirements
Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
Work as part of a professional workshop team

About You
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician with:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Previous HGV or commercial vehicle workshop experience
Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
A professional and proactive approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

HGV Licence desirable but not essential.
